The CORExperience

Students in CORE’s Family Engagement Program participate in CORE in a cohort-based model from middle to high school called the CORExperience.

Students in grades 6-8 begin as CORExplorers. These students are exposed to a wide range of STEM fields and careers, allowing them to develop and refine their STEM interests.

Students in grades 9-12 become CORE Scholars as they further narrow these interests and prepare for their STEM-related futures in college and careers.

All CORE Scholars participate in Individual Graduation Plans, work-based learning, and end-of-year ceremonies. Individual Graduation Plans are individual meetings with CORE’s Program Manager where students plan for their futures. Work-based learning experiences are highly encouraged for CORE Scholars to build a competitive edge for their future goals. Finally, end-of-year ceremonies are ways to celebrate CORE students who have attended CORE events and completed the work-based learning experiences. See the infographic for specific experiences for each grade. All students through the CORExperience (grades 6-12) participate in programming aligned with the FACE of CORE.
